Prof. Dr Vesna Mišković-Stanković, President (2017-), Vice-President (2016-2018), Meritorious member (2010), Board member (2008-) and member of Presidency (2008-) of the Serbian Chemical Society.
She is Professor at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, Serbia from 2002, and Visiting professor at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, from 2013. She obtained her BSc, MSc and PhD degree in Chemical engineering from Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1981, 1984 and 1990, respectively. She got a fellowship at University of Trento, Italy, in 1992. and 1993. She has been Visiting Professor at the University of Trento, Italy (1995), Ohio University, USA (2009-2011), Laval University, Quebec, Canada (2011), Shandong University, Jinan, China (2009, 2014) and Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea (2013, 2015-2018). Her teaching activity includes Physical Chemistry, Non-Metallic Coatings, Protective Coatings and Electrochemical Synthesis of Polymer and Bioceramic coatings, while research interest refers to electrochemistry, electrodeposition, electrosynthesis, corrosion and metal surface modification, coatings, biomaterials, composites.
Prof. Mišković-Stanković published 1 monograph, 8 chapters in international monographs, 126 scientific papers in the leading international and 38 in the national journals, 39 invited lectures, 258 conference papers (164 international and 94 national), 3 patents, 2 prototypes, 2 technical solutions, 7 textbooks, and was leading/participating at 23 scientific projects. She was cited 1750 times, h index 25 (according SCOPUS), i.e. 2401 times, h index 28 (according Google scholar). She serves as the Reviewer in 26 leading international journals.
Prof. Mišković-Stanković is a member of The International Society of Electrochemistry, The American Electrochemical Society, European Federation for Corrosion. She is Associate Member and National representative in the IUPAC Division Committe of Physical and Biophysical Chemistry, National representative in the EuCheMS Division of Electrochemistry, Deputy Secretary of the Technical Sciences Division of the Serbian Scientific Society. She was a chair/member of Scientific and Organizing Committees of numerous international and national Meetings.
